Centreville Resident Wins Online Photo Contest
Ron Cori of Centreville, Virginia, has won the Dogs for Clean Water photo contest, sponsored by the Northern Virginia Clean Water Partners. The contest was sponsored to highlight the connection between removing pet waste and clean water in local streams. Mr. Cori wins $1,000 in free pet home waste removal from Doody Calls. |

Animal Shelters, Rescue Leagues, Adoption Charities Compete for Votes and Prizes!
Between now and October 1, 2010, Northern Virginia residents can vote on essays submitted by area rescue leagues, animal shelters, and related charities. The charity that submits the winning essay will receive a grant of $1500 that they can use to educate pet owners, provide veterinary care, spay or neuter their animals, and to find loving homes for their animals. |

Northern Virginia Dog Blog Announces $2500 Charity Contest
The Northern Virginia Dog Blog is now accepting entries from local charities to compete for no-strings-attached grants of up to $1,500. Groups that receive the most votes from area residents can use the much-needed funds for veterinary care, spaying and neutering, dog food, pet owner education, or any other legitimate activity. |
