The First International Convertible Car Reunion fits into the calendar of the key events in the automotive industry in 2016. On 6 August all convertible car lovers, feeling the sense of freedom and wind in their hairs will reunite in Gniezno. It will be the first open air event in Poland gathering together automotive industry, tourism industry and food truck industry while being the largest convertible reunion in Europe.
Likewise Rome, the original capital of Poland is located on seven hills. This is where a great many fans of cars with retractable top will gather together in order to admire their cabrio-lets. Apart from Cabrio Teams from all over Europe Gniezno will also host car enthusiasts who are more than convinced that no better car has ever been invented for cruising during a sunny day.
Commercial Communications Agency and the Strategic Partner – the City of Gniezno, supported by true car enthusiasts, have decided to organize this unique event under the motto “Cabrio Let Me be Free”. Two days with numerous attractions for participants, such a “1050” Rally along the First Piast Route, Review of Cabriolet Spots and the first attempt to beat the Guinness World Record by Cabrio Teams. The Rally will start at the Municipal Stadium in Gniezno at Strumykowa 8. The route of the Rally will be ca. 100 km.

Organizers have prepared plenty of surprises and interesting STOP POINTS for Rally participants to test their abilities and participate in numerous competitions. More than 100 Cabrio teams have already confirmed their interest in attending the Reunion. Organizers estimate that in the period of 6-7 August Gniezno will be visited by 12000 people. It will be an excellent opportunity to discover the charm of Gniezno and the Region of Greater Poland as well as to meet other cabrio lovers from all over the Word.
The Greater Poland has much to offer apart from traditional Pyry z Gzikiem (boiled un-peeled potatoes with cottage cheese with diced radishes and diced green onions or chives). Mobile Gastronomy – indispensable food trucks will provide wonderful food created with passion and made of top quality products to satisfy your taste. Family atmosphere will encourage new acquaintances and sharing of opinions on cabriolets. Organizers will do their best so that all par-ticipants had many pleasant memories of this time and joined the Cabrio Poland Team next year.

The soft-top season starts in May. It is an ideal time for a short spot promoting your cab-riolet. “Open to the World” Contest is a review of selected cabriolet spots broadcasted since the 60’s of the 20th century and amateur (home-made) spots sent by Reunion participants by 17 July to biuro@cabriopoland.com. During the Review the best spot of the Reunion will be se-lected from among amateur spots prepared and starred by the Reunion participants.
