Riverside, CA – Enterprise Media welcomes the enthusiastic dancers to be a part of the National dance day. This exclusive annual celebration that takes place on the last Saturday in July is just around the corner. The event will be celebrated on 27th July, 2013 between 3pm and 7pm at the Riverside Plaza. This exclusive event was founded by Nigel Lythgoe, the co-creator of “So You Think You Can Dance” and the co-president of “Dizzy Feet Foundation”. In 2010, the Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton announced that she was introducing a congressional resolution to declare the last Saturday of every July as the nation’s official National Dance Day. This gave the event national recognition. The campaign intends to promote a positive way to maintain great health and combat obesity.
Activities have taken place all over the U.S. since 2010. The Riverside Plaza has been a constant attraction for the dancers for the past couple of years. There will be dancing, but much more. There are constant entertainment, contests, music, and health demonstrations.
The major sponsors of the events in Riverside are Arthur Murray Dance (Riverside), Natural Energy Solar, The Press Enterprise, and pe.com. The dancers and the entertainment lovers can refer to the instructional dance videos created by Dizzy Feet Foundation. This is a great way to prepare for the NDD. They can learn, perform, and share the routine dances. The videos for the year 2013 are created by some of the popular choreographers involved in “So You Think You Can Dance”. Many of these videos feature dancers from the show.
“Everybody Dance” routine is the highlight of this year’s edition. This routine is choreographed by Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman, the DFF co-presidents. This is perfect for the dancers of all levels of potential. Those who are ready for the challenging moves can practice “Hip-Hop Master Class” routine by choreographers Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo. These videos are available on the DFF YouTube channel. The company encourages the public to submit videos of the prospective participants practicing these dance routines.
The Riverside events at National Dance Day will feature numerous talented dance groups like Mike Blackwell and Tiffany Collins from Arthur Murray Riverside, Kylie’s Dance Creation, Corona High School`s Funky Fresh Krew, Kristie`s forever dancin, and Danzanna Dance Productions just to name a few.
The dancers are welcome to join the eventful celebration on 27th of July. The enthusiastic participants can take part in numerous contests and win exciting prizes. This is an entertaining event that intends to promote a great cause in a fun filled and impressive way.
