Great Adventure Bible Study Series Opens Doors Online

West Chester, Penn., — The Great Adventure Bible Study System has ignited a passion for Scripture among hundreds of thousands of Catholics over the past several years. With the launch of the new Great Adventure website (www.GreatAdventureOnline.com), the Catholic Bible Study system has developed an interactive community in which leaders and students can track their individual studies, receive customized teaching tips and training videos, be inspired with words of encouragement, and much more.

The Great Adventure Studies illustrate the central story of salvation woven throughout the seventy-three books of the Bible. By focusing on fourteen of the narrative books that tell the salvation story, Catholics get a sense of the “big picture” of the Bible. Seeing this big picture gives us the key to understanding Scripture as a whole. Through live seminars and parish-based studies, hundreds of thousands of Catholics have learned an effective way to read and understand the Bible.

“I am impressed with the methodology and growth of The Great Adventure: A Journey Through the Bible,” said Francis Cardinal George, archbishop of Chicago. “The canonical approach that The Great Adventure employs is a marvelous way to introduce the faithful to salvation history. [This system]…is bearing much fruit in the Church today and contributing to a stronger, more informed laity.”

Jeff Cavins created The Great Adventure to help Catholics understand the Bible, which is so central to our faith. “Many Christians have picked up their Bibles, resolving to read them cover to cover, only to become frustrated shortly thereafter because they have lost the story,” explains Cavins. “I discovered that losing the story is a result of losing the narrative thread of the Bible. The Great Adventure gives the story in a way that is easy to remember and exciting to learn.”

The Great Adventure Bible Studies are available from Ascension Press. You can learn more by visiting www.GreatAdventureOnline.com, or by calling 1-800-376-0520.
