Our team of experienced structural engineers use Calcs-online.co.uk’s custom made structural design software, latest engineering design packages and where necessary, hand calculations, to provide structural specifications required for Building Control submissions.
Our in-house design software allows Calcs-online.co.uk to provide structural calculations and details at a competitive price and with a quick turnaround.

Our staff have years of experience working on industrial and commercial projects, but the bulk of our experience falls within the residential sector.

Our staff have worked on some extremely complex residential properties, built to extremely high specifications, which have required some complex and innovative design solutions. Almost anything is possible.
Our company strives to stay ahead of the competition when it comes to new construction techniques as our members of staff all attend further training seminars provided by the Institution of Structural Engineers. As an example, a number of our recent projects have utilised the non-standard construction technique of using polystyrene-block permanent formwork to create highly insulated reinforced concrete substructure and superstructure elements, creating more sustainable and cost effective living environments for our clients.
Calcs-Online offers two types of service. The first is a “pay per calculation” service for which we provide a price based on the number of calculations required, and we provide a calculation for single structural elements. This type of package is usually preferred on small schemes where only a few calculations are required.
If the project is of larger scale or greater complexitiy then we also offer a “full engineering service” whereby we will provide a full engineering service for the client which would include dealing with Building Regulation queries, providing all structural calculations, details and drawings required in order to complete a project.
Our staff are able to provide calculations for all building elements including roofs, floors, walls, foundations, swimming pools and basements using a range of materials. We have years of experience in the design of steelwork, timber, glulam timber and reinforced concrete, all of which are designed in accordance with the latest Building Regulations and British Standards.
All of our engineers are either chartered engineers or are working towards getting their chartership status. As part of our quality assurance procedure all of our calculations are checked and approved by a chartered structural engineer. Calcs-online.co.uk also holds professional indemnity insurance.
