“Evening of Good Taste” will benefit the ongoing expansion of the Gertrude & Louis Feil Cancer Center. The center is the only one on Long Island that is equipped with the Varian Novalis Tx™, da Vinci® Surgical System and Gamma Knife®.
More than 1,000 food and wine enthusiasts will feast on the New York metro area’s finest foods, desserts, pastries and wines at South Nassau Communities Hospital’s 19th Annual “An Evening of Good Taste” to be held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY, on Monday, March 5, from 6PM – 9PM.
“Evening of Good Taste” includes a professionally judged competition, which is sanctioned by the Long Island Chapter of the American Culinary Federation. It has divisions for schools, restaurants, vintners, bakeries and ice sculptors and awards are given for appetizers, entrées, desserts, overall table presentation, bread, viennoise, pastries, decorated cakes, wine display, vendor display and carved ice sculptures. Patrons can also vote for their favorite selection in the People’s choice Award.
This year “Evening of Good Taste” will benefit the ongoing expansion of the Gertrude & Louis Feil Cancer Center. The center is the only one on Long Island that is equipped with three of the most advanced and effective technologies used to treat and eradicate cancer: the Varian Novalis Tx™, da Vinci® Surgical System and Gamma Knife®. It is a recipient of many prestigious honors and citations, including the American College of Surgeons Comprehensive Community Cancer Center and the Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award. This evening’s proceeds along with the generous major gift from the Feil family and The Louis Feil Charitable Lead Annuity Trust will help ensure that the communities and residents served by South Nassau continue to have convenient access to the most advanced cancer care available anywhere.
